In 2025, we held the largest-ever UK–Canada Trade Mission, with programming including visits to British wool industry leaders and attending the London Sheep Drive organized by the Worshipful Company of Woolmen—the world’s oldest wool guild. In 2025, two Canadians joined the ranks of the Woolmen. The UK is one of the most established strong wool markets in the world and a natural destination for value-chain expertise as well as an educated destination for Canadian wool products.

Designed for wool industry professionals and enthusiasts, this program offered firsthand insight into one of the world's oldest and most successful wool industries. Participants were able to:

Gain a deep understanding of the British wool industry, including its logistics and key players.

Build valuable industry connections with the potential for long-term business development.

Experience the rich history and culture of the UK’s wool sector, from heritage mills in West Yorkshire to the iconic London Sheep Drive, a public event celebrating wool’s enduring significance.
