Canada-Italy Wool Trade Mission and Educational Program 2026

We’re pleased to open registration for our third international wool trade mission — and our first to Italy.

This year, we travel to Biella, in the Piedmont region of northern Italy — one of Europe’s premier hubs for wool and fine animal fibre processing and textile manufacturing.

September 15-19, 2026

Designed for professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and emerging industry leaders, the program focuses on three core pillars:

Market & Technical Access
Exclusive visits to leading wool manufacturers in collaboration with members of the International Wool Textile Organisation.

Business & Professional Development
Curated networking opportunities connecting participants with key players across the global wool value chain.

Cultural & Historical Context
A deeper look at Italy’s historic leadership in fine textile production — and the shared values linking wool with other premium Italian agricultural products.

On the program:

Milan — one of the world’s fashion and design capitals.
Biellala città della lana (the city of wool)— a global centre of excellence in wool manufacturing.
Piedmont — where textile craftsmanship meets food, landscape, and regional identity.
